L'opéra comme source d'inspiration, élément déclencheur d'une recherche des meilleurs "tubes" du répertoire lyrique. Qui n'est pas capable de fredonner un air d'opéra? Monteverdi, Haëndel, Mozart, Puccini pour n'en citer que quelques uns, tous ont composé la "mélodie indémodable", le tour de chant transformé en ritournelle populaire par le prisme du succès. Juste retour des choses pour des compositeurs qui se sont parfois servis de certains folklores pour écrire les plus belles pages de l'opéra!

"Une petite histoire de l'opéra", dont le leitmotiv est la femme, ce sont quatre siècles d'opéras traversés par des histoires d'intrigues fantaisistes, d'amours interdits, d'infidélités, de vengeance, de soif de pouvoir, d'intrigues et de morts, le tout sous la forme d'un concert/récital de cinq musiciens et une chanteuse lyrique.

The Opera may be a source of inspiration, in an attempt to highlight some of the best hits of the operatic repertoire. Who does not have in mind a melody or at least a few notes of one memorable operatic tune? Monteverdi, Häendel, Verdi, Bizet, Mozart, Puccini among others: they all composed the everlasting melody... Melodies that have turned into popular refrains: one fair victory of popular music over opera when one may consider that many of these compositors looked back upon folk music to give birth to some of the most enchanting and compelling arias!

The woman is the leitmotiv of “A short story of opera”, thoroughly revealed throughout the performance. Four centuries of opera which have undergone all refinement and vicissitudes of life. From bizarre intrigue, forbidden love affairs, marital infidelities, revenge, the urge for power, tragedy and death, to the first appearance of the castrati and the divas, in the form of both a recital and a concert performed by a soprano and five musicians.
